AI Photo Consent

Consent for AI face scan processing.

This page explains what you consent to when you start an AI scan in MogUp.

Last updated: May 22, 2026

What you send

When you start a scan, MogUp uses the face photo you choose, facial landmark and measurement data generated during the scan flow, your onboarding answers, and limited previous scan or plan context for re-scans.

Why it is processed

This information is used to generate your AI face scan, score breakdown, visual scan output, and personalized 7-day protocol. It is not used for Face ID, identity verification, or to determine who you are.

Who processes it

Your scan request is sent to MogUp’s backend and to OpenAI as the remote AI processor. OpenAI API inputs and outputs are not used to train OpenAI models by default unless the account owner opts in.

Storage and retention

MogUp treats scan requests as transient on the backend and does not intentionally keep a separate long-term remote history of uploaded scan photos after the response is returned. MogUp saves scan results, questionnaire answers, and progress locally on your device. OpenAI may retain API request data for up to 30 days for service and abuse-monitoring purposes unless different retention controls apply.

Your choice

You can choose not to start a scan. You can also stop future photo processing by not using the scan feature or by removing camera and photo-library access for MogUp in iOS Settings.
