Privacy Policy

How MogUp handles your information.

This policy explains what information MogUp uses, including face photos and on-device facial measurements, how it is used to generate scan results and personalized protocol guidance, and how subscription and progress data are handled.

Last updated: April 15, 2026

What MogUp collects

MogUp uses the photo you choose for analysis, face landmarks and blendshape-style facial measurements generated on-device from that photo during the scan flow, the answers you provide during onboarding, scan results generated inside the app, limited prior scan and plan context used during rescans, protocol progress and streak activity, and subscription or entitlement status needed to unlock premium features.

Face data

For MogUp, face data means the user-selected face photo and the facial landmark and blendshape-style measurements derived from that photo during analysis. MogUp does not use Face ID, TrueDepth identity verification, or any feature intended to determine who you are.

How your information is used

Your information is used to generate facial analysis results and scan overlays, personalize your recommended protocol, generate or refresh your plan, measure progress across rescans, and restore your subscription entitlements.

Remote AI processing

When you start a scan, MogUp sends the selected face photo, the facial landmark and blendshape-style measurements generated from that photo, your onboarding answers, and, for rescans, limited previous scan and plan context to MogUp’s backend and OpenAI so the scan result and, when applicable, the personalized plan can be generated. MogUp does not use this data for Face ID, identity verification, or to determine who you are.

On-device and local storage

MogUp stores saved scan results, questionnaire answers, and progress history locally on the device. MogUp’s public legal pages are hosted separately and do not store your scan photos or in-app progress records. MogUp’s backend handles scan requests transiently and does not intentionally keep a separate long-term remote history of uploaded scan photos or derived measurements after the response is returned.

Third-party services

MogUp relies on Apple services for payments and platform features, RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management, and OpenAI for remote AI scan processing. MogUp’s backend forwards scan requests to OpenAI so the response can be generated. GitHub Pages hosts these legal pages only and does not host your uploaded scans, progress history, or in-app personal data.

Data retention

The raw photo and derived facial landmark and blendshape-style measurements are used during the active scan flow and are not kept by MogUp as separate long-term remote records after the response is returned. MogUp may retain the latest journey plus up to 12 saved local scan-history entries, which contain questionnaire answers and derived scan results, until you remove the app or clear local app data. OpenAI may retain API request data for up to 30 days under its standard API abuse-monitoring controls unless a different enterprise retention configuration applies. Subscription records are also subject to Apple and RevenueCat data handling practices.

Consent and controls

You choose whether to provide a face photo to MogUp. You can withdraw consent for future face-data processing at any time by stopping use of the scan feature and by removing camera or photo-library access for MogUp in the iOS Settings app.

For the short consent notice shown before an AI scan, see AI Photo Consent.

Deletion and local data removal

Because MogUp keeps saved scan-related history locally on your device, you can remove saved scan history from inside the app using the Clear History control in Progress, or delete the app to remove the remaining locally stored MogUp data from the device. If you email support requesting deletion help, MogUp can explain how to remove the local data, but MogUp does not keep a separate long-term remote history of your raw face photo, landmark data, or saved scan history that it can delete on your behalf.

Children

MogUp is not intended for young children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the app, contact us at ayushnagpal570@icloud.com.
